PCO Self Drive Hire FAQ's & Cancellation Policy

Ready to Hire?

To hire a PCO Licensed vehicle from Chauffeur Rentals you will need to provide us with the following documents:

• Your PCO License - Valid for duration of hire - or
• Your Local Authority License
• Your DVLA Driving License - Both Parts
• Another form of identification with your name and address from a recognised body ie: Bank statement

Can Chauffeur Rentals provide me with Fully Comprehensive Private Hire Insurance ?

Yes. If you would like us to provide you with Fully Comprehensive Private Hire Insurance for your duration of PCO Licensed Vehicle Hire, we can do that as long as you can say yes to the following:

• You are over 30 years of age
• You are less than 65 years old
• You have more than 24 months driving experience as a qualified driver
• You have less than 6 Penalty Points on your License
• No Penalties that appear on your license have the following codes BA, CD, DD, DR, IN, UT

Do I have to Pay a Deposit ?

To hire a licensed vehicle from Chauffeur Rentals, you will need to pay a £ 500.00 deposit for each vehicle. This deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your vehicle/s. Your deposit is refunded 14 days post hire. Should a claim arise during this period, your deposit is transferred as the excess to cover your contribution for repairs.

What happens if I get a Parking Ticket / Penalty charge Notice (PCN)

If you are unlucky enough to receive a PCN during your period of hire, it will be charged to your Credit Card and incur an administration fee of £25.00

Is there a daily mileage limitation ?

Every days hire includes 150 miles. Any extra miles are charged at 20p per mile.

When can i collect and return the vehicle ?

Our office hours are from 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. We understand that some hirers will need greater flexibility in relation to Collection and Return of their PCO Licensed Vehicle. We can offer alternative times and Days subject to prior arrangement only.

Can you deliver my PCO Licensed Vehicle ?

If you require us to deliver your PCO Licensed Vehicle, this can be arranged at a charge of £40.00 each way within the M25 and subject to availability.

Cancellation Policy

• Should you cancel your booking any time up to 7 days before your Hire Start Date, you will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of Hire Start Date but more than 3 days prior to Hire Start Date will result in a full refund less an administration charge of £50.00 + vat
• Cancellations made within 3 days of Hire Start Date or failure to show up to collect your vehicle at the agreed time and date will incur a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the first 3 days of hire. However, during the months of June, July and August [Peak Season], the cancellation fee will be equal to the first 7 days of hire.
• Charges for alterations to the Hire Start Date and any changes to the period of hire are subject to the discretion of the management and current availability.
• Special Events - in the event of pre-booking specific cars for any popular event (Farnborough, Ascot, Wembley, Henley etc), we reserve the right to charge 50% of the proposed hire for any cancellations made within 14 days of the hire starting and 100% of the proposed hire for any cancellations made within 7 days of the hire starting.
